Privacy policy

BakerXLabs is a division of RAK Venture Group, based in Lac Baker, New Brunswick, Canada. This policy explains what personal information this website touches, why, and what your rights are. It is written to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Questions or requests: bakerxlabs@gmail.com.

What we collect, and why

• Project enquiries. The contact form asks for your name, email, project type, budget range, and a project description. Submitting it opens your own email app with that information pre-filled; nothing is stored on this website's servers. We use what you send solely to respond to you and scope your project.
• The Stack challenge. Winning the challenge asks for your email so we can issue your credit code and verify it later when we scope your build. Claiming the code sends us an email from your device with your address, your code, and the date. We use it only for that purpose and to talk with you about your project.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone. We do not run marketing lists, and we will not send you promotional email.

Where your information lives

This website has no database and sets no cookies. Correspondence you send us lives in our business email. If you win the challenge, your code and the email you entered are saved in your own browser's localStorage on your device, so the site can remember your code. You can clear it anytime through your browser settings.

Third parties

One JavaScript library (a scroll utility) loads from the unpkg content delivery network. Like any web resource, that request exposes your IP address to the CDN operator. This site uses no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no social media pixels.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you may withdraw consent to our use of it. Email bakerxlabs@gmail.com and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with an updated effective date.

By using this website you accept these terms.

• Ownership. All content on this site, including text, design, graphics, logos, and code, is the property of RAK Venture Group. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse it without written permission.
• No advice, no warranty. This site is provided as is, for general information about our services. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate but do not warrant that it is error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Descriptions of services are invitations to enquire, not binding offers; every engagement is defined by its own written quote and agreement.
• Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RAK Venture Group is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website.
• Changes. We may change, suspend, or remove any part of this site, including the challenge, at any time without notice.
• Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute belongs to the courts of New Brunswick.

$500 challenge terms

The Stack is a free, skill-based challenge. No purchase is necessary and no element of chance decides the outcome; topping out all 22 floors wins.

• The prize. A credit of $500 CAD toward one new custom website build by BakerXLabs.
• Eligibility. Open to individuals and businesses able to contract for a website build. One credit per person or business, no matter how many codes are generated.
• Redemption. The credit applies to new custom website builds quoted at $2,500 CAD or more before tax. It is applied to the quoted build price. It is not valid on Care plans, content edits, or any other services.
• Expiry. Codes expire 6 months from the date they are issued. The issue date is encoded in the code and verified at redemption, together with the email used to claim it.
• No cash value. Codes have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be combined with any other offer, discount, or credit.
• Fair play. Codes obtained through automation, scripting, or other abuse are void. We may verify any win.
• Our discretion. We may modify, suspend, or end the challenge at any time. Codes already issued within their 6 months remain valid unless obtained through abuse.
